To Whom it May Concern,

I was really pleased to see the Brilliants Nail Polish Line. I love the colors (especially the Naughty Newton! Love the black!), and I really like how the names are for famous brilliant scientists. I think it’s a great way to link science to people’s every day lives.

I noticed though, that your line includes five colors “Naughty Newton,” “Light me up Edison,” “Hubba Hubble,” “Freaky like Freud,” and “Fine like Einstein.” They’re great colors. But well…they’re all named after guys.

I know that many people don’t know the name of a single female scientist. I was wondering if we could get some for them, too? I know you don’t want to be all “Freaky like…” for a female scientist, it would definitely send the wrong message. But I’d love a glittery deep violet “Curious Curie” (for Marie Curie), a sparkly burgundy “Fierce Franklin” (for Rosalind Franklin, I’d buy one of those like a shot!), a shimmery bronze “Adventurous Anning” (for Mary Anning), and a deep gold “Luminescent Lovelace” (for Ada Lovelave). Obviously the colors would be up to you (but seriously, sparkly burgundy please!). But it would be a great opportunity for you to not just promote science, but to make people aware of women in science and all that they’ve done for their fields.

If you added some of these to your line, I’d buy them in a snap. I know others who would as well.

Just a thought,

Sci

*A shortened version of this was sent to Sephora. Cause I really do want a burgundy “Fierce Franklin.”
