Science Fact

In a fight between an alligator and a shark, who would win? Well that depends on the gator and the shark in question. Great whites are probably off the menu, but scientists have shown theĀ American alligator chows down on bonnethead sharks, lemon sharks, rays and even sea turtles. Turns out gators are not at all picky eaters, and shuffle between fresh and saltwater environments for their dinners. In fact they might even get some fruit into their diet! How did scientists find all this out? By pumping shark stomachs. And how do you do that? Um…carefully.
